SoupeSoup by Caroline Dumas: This is an AMAZING soup cookbook. Caroline has several small bistros in the Montreal area, appropriately named SoupeSoup. The best part about Caroline's recipes is that her broth base is water, which eliminates a lot of the sodium.

Bal's Quick and Healthy Indian by Bal Arneson: Never before have I found so many amazing recipes, quick to prepare and cook, with an authentic taste, as I have in Bal's book. I cook from her book about once a week and everything I have made has turned out even better than I imagined. Try her Spicy Tomato soup with Fennel Seeds (p.72) and her Grilled Chicken with Coriander (p.90).

French Women Don't Get Fat by Mireille Guiliano: One of my favourite cookbooks. It reads more like a diary and it's filled with so many delicious recipes; truly an inspiring read that gets you excited to eat well and eat smart. Try her recipe for homemade yogurt.

Dieticians of Canada's Simply Great Food by Patricia Chuey, Eileen Campbell and Mary Sue Waisman. The title says it all! This is an amazing book filled with healthy and easy recipes that your family is sure to love. As well, they include tons of info on healthy eating and balancing your diet. And the best part.... there's a sequel - see below!

Dieticians of Canada's Cook Great Food edited by Judith Finlayson. A continuation, of sorts, to Simply Great Food - Yay!
